Für unsere SS22 Kollektionen haben wir eine Partnerschaft mit Materialinnovatoren geschlossen, die mit einer Vielfalt von Ressourcen aus unseren Ozeanen arbeiten: von Algen über Seetang bis hin zu zurückgelassenen Austernschalen. Nicht ohne Stolz stellen wir Ihnen nun unsere Kollektion mit diesen Materialinnovatoren vor.

Das Garn von Oceantech enthält zurückgelassene Austernschalen. Die Austernschalen werden von Austernfarmen in Taiwan upgecycelt. So werden sie zu Pulver gemahlen und dann mit recycelten PET-Flaschen zur Erzeugung der Garne für diese Badeshorts gemischt.

These sweaters and t-shirts are made with a cellulose fiber that has seaweed additives; active ingredients from the ocean. During the spinning process of the Lyocell/viscose fibre, the seaweed is permanently embedded into the fiber. The solution is spun into fibers, cured in water and processed into staple fibres.
Seaweed’s high level of antioxidants has protective characteristics against the harmful environmental influences we are exposed to in our daily lives.

Cellulose, wood pulp, is a preferred renewable resource material for O'Neill. To ensure the environmental benefits of cellulose are used in our products, we work with branded regenerated cellulose fibres.
LivaEco-viscose by Birla Cellulose TM is derived from natural, renewable materials and is produced through a rigorous, environmentally friendly closed process in accordance with EU Best Available Technique (EUBAT).
Fabrics and garments made with Livaeco™ are soft comfortable and drape beautifully.
SANDALS CONTAIN BLOOM™ ALGAE BIOMASS
BLOOM™
BLOOM™ algae biomass is a natural component added to the existing EVA of our sandals footbeds as an alternative material resource. BLOOM™ reclaims harmful algae blooms and turns them into something useful. This process cleans water, lessens CO2 pollution and restores aquatic habitats.
